Bored Ape Yacht Club accused of promoting racism and other offences by Anonymous

Hacktivist group Anonymous has made a number of accusations against the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection.

The YouTube video, which was released today, seeks to establish the veracity of prior allegations of racism against BAYC.

Over 14,000 individuals have seen the movie as of right now, indicating that many people find the subject interesting.

The BAYC NFT collection was supposedly the group’s next target, according to a video posted in August by an ‘apparently bogus’ Anonymous Twitter account.

Since Anonymous has now posted an allegation film against BAYC on its official channel, it appears that this video wasn’t entirely unfounded.

What are the charges Leveled Against Bored Ape Yacht Club?

The Bored Ape Yacht Collection and Yuga Labs brand is plagued with several instances of esoteric symbolism and dog whistles, according to the hacktivist organisation.

Surprisingly, they assert that these show support for paedophilia, racism, simianization, and nazism.

The group went on to say that these symbols are concealed in plain sight and that it takes particular previous knowledge for anyone to be able to “see” the difficulties.

According to the above sentence, unless you have some inside information, you might not recognise the connection between the BAYC and nazi insignia.

They intend to reveal further details and the context in the upcoming weeks.

Later in the video, Anonymous began to address other racial and ethnic groupings.

These consist of:

1. Holders of a BAYC

In light of the fact that so few people have spoken out in response to the charges, Anonymous encourages them to do so.

2. Investors, Partners, and High-Profile Enthusiasts of BAYC and Yuga Labs

The Anonymous group inquires about BAYC’s position on racism, sexism, and paedophilia and asks if they can still support BAYC in light of the revelation.

They concede the holders’ ignorance, nevertheless, as they assert that Yuga Labs obscurely conceals these Nazi insignia.

3. Yuga Labs

Yuga Labs has consistently denied the allegations in remarks.

However, Anonymous wants to know why they haven’t yet done anything to “delete these connections” from their brand.

Has anonymous provided any proof for the claims made against BAYC?

In the upcoming weeks, Anonymous said they will present a pitch deck containing supporting documentation to BAYC and Yuga Labs sponsors.

However, there is absolutely no proof in this video.

It is vital to know that Yuga Labs has already been accused of racism.

In August, Ryder Ripps charged Yuga Labs for the first time.

While some believe what he says, others have openly expressed their mistrust.

What has Yuga Labs to say about the accusations made against BAYC?

Yuga Labs has not yet responded, although they have previously refuted accusations of a similar nature. In June of this year, YouTuber Philion released a video that alleged racism towards BAYC, which prompted a response from Yuga Labs.

Gordon Goner, a co-founder of Yuga Labs, wrote a blog entry outlining the company’s decision not to address the ongoing accusations.

He claims that the primary cause is that they are “insanely far-fetched.”

New claims from the Anonymous team, however, make it seem less unlikely than previously believed.

What Opinions Are Being Voiced About the Video?

People have posted various responses on Twitter.

While some think the claims are outrageous, others are waiting for the pitch deck, and still, others have remained silent. Actually, there hasn’t been much of a response from the neighbourhood.

The present conversations in the #bayc hashtag on Twitter suggest that the claims might not have a significant impact on the project.
