To put it simply, the metaverse is the virtual world that can be accessed by anyone on the digital canvas through the means of interactive video games or for commerce purposes wherein customers can experience, interact and deal in virtual/ real goods and services, making it an ecosystem that the world is moving towards.

Take a look at some of this year’s Xmas and New Year events taking place in the metaverse.
- Antier’s Xmas event: Blockchain development firm Antier is hosting Anfestier Christmas celebrations in the metaverse. The company has come up with a Christmas carnival on metaverse where there are fun games, music, dance and an opportunity to own a metaverse avatar. “We are ready to provide a unique opportunity to the global audiences to enjoy amazingly immersive experiences in the virtual world by bringing Christmas on to the Metaverse,” says Vikram Raj Singh, Founder and CEO, Antier. “The technological highlight of Anfestier Christmas on Metaverse is that it will be suitable for both Web3 and browser, allowing everyone to be a part of these unique celebrations,” he says. The event is live on 21-22nd December.
- Bandwagon Christmas Special Pixel Party: Bandwagon Pixel party Christmas special featuring DJ Boss is live now until January 3. It is a public event that is organized by Jilbrailldris. The event started on December 6. You will experience a winter wonderland in the world of the metaverse where you can test your speed in your Penguin Race. - Category Five Christmas event series: This public event is organized by Cat5 and live from December 21 to December 28. - Butterfly Prawn Farm (BPF) Christmas event: This metaverse event is publicly organized by BPVerse. It comes with a chance to win new and limited edition wearables.
