Yuga Labs has released information about the second trip to the Otherside Metaverse, which will take place in late March 2023.

The first Otherside journey saw over 5,000 users signed in at once, introducing them to the Apes and their Metaverse, as well as a battle with a large Koda.

What Does Yuga Labs Have in Store for the Second BAYC Otherside Trip?

According to Yuga Labs, the second trip will feature new landscapes, new dynamics, and an increase in users from the first trip, with more gamification options, mechanics, and entertainment promised by the developers.

Users will be able to sign up for Otherside, connect their wallet, and start playing with their NFTs as their avatars immediately in the second segment.

In the future, owners of BAYC, MAYC, or Meebits will also be able to play as their own unique avatars.

The next journey is expected to take place in a Bonedeed desert map, with a quest for a “glowing, pulsing stone” to be undertaken by Curtis, Blue, and a Voyager.

In addition, Yuga Labs has collaborated with Improbable to improve the avatar experience on the Otherside Development Kit (ODK).

This toolset allows designers to build and customize their avatars, and also includes a range of game styles.

The ODK will provide users with new tools for modifying, creating, and interacting with their environment, as well as their avatars.

These new mechanisms and tools will allow Otherside to be open much more frequently.

While more information about using customized NFTs to access the metaverse has not yet been disclosed, Yuga has stated that the game will also feature a flying mechanic.
