For this year’s Miami Art Week, thousands of collectors and artists from all over the world have joined one of the longest-running and the biggest arts event showcasing both the traditional and digital art collections in North America.

From November 28 to December 4, thousands of visitors are expected to  go on an artistic voyage that includes works by emerging and well-known artists from throughout the world.

To commemorate its 20th anniversary, the art fair will also feature Art Basel’s largest installation to date.
Here are the major NFT activities that will be presented during Miami Art Week this year.

Ancient Future by SISU and SaveArtSpace

Between November 29 and December 4, the non-profit SaveArtSpace and the neighborhood of SISU, which supports Earth restoration initiatives, will host a public art exhibition.

Two satellite shows for Ancient Future, organized by SISU’s steward Angela del Sol, will be on display during Miami Art Week. These exhibitions include the SCOPE Art Fair with famous photographer Rob Woodcox and the Satellite Art Show with 13 artists.

A billboard installation called Ancient Future examines how humans would impact the climate if they banded together. The goal of Angela del Sol is to make the world more inclusive through empowering women, business owners, and Indigenous communities.

Del Sol is delivering climate protection and action in various inventive ways thanks to NFTs, media, and Web3 partnerships.

At Art Basel, SCOPE

For its 20th year, the renowned SCOPE international contemporary art expo will hold a coastal exhibition in Miami.

On November 30, visitors will be able to view artwork from 140 international exhibitors in addition to panel discussions, nightlife activities, and cutting-edge installations. At Art Basel, the tickets can be redeemed for admission to 130 international galleries.

The artwork on the tickets, which were released on November 3 as well, was created by Mason Rothschild and Cool Cats NFT.

The tickets were made possible via SCOPE’s collaborations with YellowHeart (a Web3 ticketing platform) and the Creative Artist Agency (CAA).

Consequently, platinum and VIP NFT tickets are tradable and resaleable both before and after the event.

Live mint pop-up performance by 9dcc

During Art Basel, the founder of ArtBlocks, Snowfro, and the opulent brand 9dcc by gmoney will host a live pop-up event. ITERATION-02, the brand’s much-awaited second clothing release, will make its premiere at the exhibition from November 29 to December 3.

In collaboration with NFT Now and MANA’s “The Gateway,” 9dcc designed an extraordinary pop-up shopping experience for the release. Customers who acquire ITERATION-2 will specifically live-mint a 1-of-1 generative NFT, which then starts the production process in front of your eyes.

This involves demonstrating how “printing, NFC chip bridging, and lux packing all done within minutes” is accomplished.

BitBasel leading the charge for Impact NFT

Started as a digital art event in 2020, BitBasel has been at the forefront of the rise of NFTs and especially on impact or ESG-related NFT projects.. Made up of a local community who have been leading blockchain education efforts across Florida since 2013, BitBasel empowers grassroots creators with the tools and support to launch their first NFT collection and win in Web3.

Another notable and first is that BitBasel is the only producer and exhibition that’s carbon neutral, using carbon credit from Amazon rainforest conservation projects to offset not only their entire exhibition carbon footprint as well as all the participants’ number at around 10,000 for the week. Visitors to their galleries and shows now have another reason to rave – living a carbon-neutral living for the week.

A member of the ImpactNFT Alliance, BitBasel is also offering all attendees carbon credit backed-NFT tickets with the award-wining art works from each of the 17-SDG, the UN-defined sustainable development goals.

A gallery called The Jonathan Schultz

Johnathan Schultz, a South African artist renowned for his skill in fusing precious stones into beautiful creations, will exhibit his work at Art Basel. Throughout the exhibition and at his own gallery in the Miami Design District, Schultz will display his work.

Additionally, Schultz is well-known for his enormous, 3D reproduction of Nelson Mandela’s fingerprint which is covered in diamonds. For Todd English, Udonis Haslem, and Cindy Crawford more recently, he has made one-of-a-kind works.

With the creation of his own NFT collection, GemSet NFT, which grants holders genuine gems as rewards, Schultz is also a Web3 builder. According to a recent announcement from GemSet, the 2.5K holders of the Gemesis collection will soon receive their 2.5K worth of packed diamonds.

Miami Art Week’s Dcentral Miami conference

The biggest Web3 conference is coming back to downtown Miami with twice the space this time! During Miami Art Week, on November 28 and 29, Dcentral Miami will gather the Web3 community. This is the place to be if DeFi, DAOs, metaverses, NFTs, and protocols interest you.

Over 300 speakers, including Timbaland, Alex Mayes, Baron Davis, Crypto Wendy, and many others, will be available for attendees to hear. Along with four stages, there will be more than 80 exhibitors. A Web3 mainstage, a decentralized stage, an NFTCON stage, and a Web3 women’s stage are all included in this.
