Fractal, the network developed via Twitch co-founder Justin Kan for game-related non-fungible tokens (NFT), is expanding into the Polygon group to broaden accessibility.

Here’s what we know:

As part of the expansion, Fractal’s mints, tournaments, marketplace, and the studio will be available on Polygon. The titles coming to Polygon are Planet Mojo, Shutdown, League of Kingdoms, Arrivant, Hunters On-chain, Karmaverse, and more.

The expansion of Polygon will enhance access to Fractal, improving user acquisition and providing financial support for advanced game development.

Before going live on the Solana Blockchain in December 2021, the network earned $35 million in a seed round from investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Solana Labs, Animoca, Coinbase Ventures, and many others. Today, it provides a range of developer tools and hosts dozens of Web3 games, NFTs, or competitions on its website to draw in new programmers.

The company said that joining Polygon would free up its time to ‘focus on user acquisition and supply the Blockchain technology enabling essential financial infrastructure to facilitate successful game creation.’ Its F Studio product line now includes a Polygon-based launching pad, marketplace, competitions, developer SDK, game launcher, and sign-in leveraging Fractal services.

The company that created the Ethereum scaling system, Polygon Ventures, would support the growth of Fractal by making an undisclosed ‘strategic investment.’ Thirty of its most popular games from Polygon would work on Fractal in the months before a Game Developer Conference throughout March on anything from a contest campaign through activations.

Now they are working with some of the best AAA gaming studios to provide players with outstanding game experiences.

This is yet another significant achievement for Polygon; recent noteworthy advances include Rarible expanding its free marketplace builder to Polygon-based NFT collections and WMG introducing LGND Music — an NFT music platform — as part of a multi-year partnership with LGND and Polygon.
