Convened by Dr. Shirley Yeung, Head, School of Business,

Associate Vice President, UNESCO Hong Kong Association

Impact NFT Alliance adviser Dr. Shirley Yeung’s paintings and innovative use of web 3.0/ spatial.io SY templates had been shortlisted by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for the Asia Pacific (UNESCAP) to display in the SDG Acceleration Pavilion on March 27-31, 2023, Bangkok in United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC).

This is a good practice to balance technology with humanistic values to transform with inner peace. During the event at the SDG Acceleration Pavilion, UNESCAP 75 Bangkok, visitors can appreciate Dr. Shirley’s beautiful artwork on nature with calmness as highlighted by renowned mural painter, Luke Gray, during his visit to the booth. If you miss to join the SDG Acceleration Pavilion, UNESCAP75, Bangkok, you can join Dr. Shirley Yeung’s Chinese Calligraphy paintings exhibition on this project in Tai Kwun, Heritage Building, Central, Hong Kong, April 9-11, 2023.

In 2015, the United Nations (UN) set 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a universal call to put an end to poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere, and by 2030. This leaves us a mere seven years to deliver the 2030 agenda. It is time to accelerate SDG to a bigger scale with impactful projects, for example “Restore the Nature with Innovations via SDGs and ESG”.

The project “Restore the Nature with Innovations via SDGs and ESG’ aims to educate the community on the use of technology, for example, web 3.0 with spatial.io and NFT/ blockchain with humanistic caring for demonstrating SDG#4.7 knowledge transfer with SDG#9 and #17 partnership of NFT Investment & Venture Limited for SDG#8 decent jobs creation, e.g. innovative project management skills and impactful communication skills with storytelling techniques for fundraising and entrepreneurial  opportunities with application of multi-disciplinary knowledge – integrating SDG/ ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) into business management programmes for a disruptive educational model. It is to encourage the building up of a community of Art, Life, Business, Technology as well as Positive Peace mentioned by Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).

“Positive Peace describes the attitudes, structures and institutions that underpin and sustain peaceful societies.” (https://www.economicsandpeace.org/research/)

On the UN World Wildlife Day on March 3, 2023, a successful fundraising initiative included the sale of NFT art, Asian style paintings by Yeung, and collection of paintings by women from Cameroon. This project keeps on accelerating with the use of SDGs and ESG / IEP for setting a good example of employing a technological platform to educate the community on SDG/ESG in a meaningful way.
