In a bid to accelerate FC Barcelona\u2019s blockchain, NFT and digital assets and Web3 strategies blockchain-powered fan engagement and rewards platform Socios.com owner and technology provider Chiliz announced a $100 million investment in the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Per the partnership, Socios.com owner and technology provider Chiliz invest $100 million in Barc\u0327a Studios to acquire a 24.5% stake in the club\u2019s digital content creation and distribution hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bar\u00e7a Studios leads FC Barcelona\u2019s digital strategy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In order to deliver projects that engage, reward, and forge relationships with its worldwide following, FC Barcelona’s digital strategy is being led by Bar\u00e7a Studios, which also oversees the Club’s construction of NFTs and metaverse projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The partnership seeks to improve the club’s capacity to provide fans with valuable digital goods and create new, long-term sustainable revenue sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With the launch of a $BAR fan token on Socios.com in February 2020, the club had first entered into a partnership with the blockchain based platform. Since then, $BAR fan tokens worth over $39 million have been sold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through these digital resources, fans have access to a thriving community where they can interact and earn incentives like VIP tickets, souvenirs, and exclusive opportunities like the chance to play on the Camp Nou field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Partnership will deliver long-term revenue streams<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Alexandre Dreyfus, CEO of Socios.com and Chiliz, said that Barc\u0327a Studios can now leverage its technology, expertise, and global scale to help roll out the club\u2019s Web3 content strategy and deliver new
